Margarita Decanini a.k.a. Yuyu has dedicated a lifelong love of the arts. Originally from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, she graduated as Interior Design degree at the Instituto Superior de Arte y Cultura de Monterrey, (ISCAM) Since moving to Laredo, Texas in 2001 She and her daughter Daniella, Founded Artexpressions, kid’s art studio. She continued to pursue her love of art dedication attending constantly to sculpting, ceramic, and painting seminars and joining Mary Help of Christian Catholic School of Laredo as a School Art Director from 2006 to 2014. her teaching experience spans the last 19 years, during which she has successfully designed art programs at the elementary school level, and produced and carried art exhibits at local Galleries and Museums always focusing on the importance of including quality for her students. Finally, in 2019, she published her Why Art? book with the desire to place the skills for the arts during one’s childhood within reach of all children.
